Funding Your Business When a startup or existing small business owners need financing, they meet with their bankers. In addition to lending, banks provide an array of other products and services that are beneficial for businesses. For those times when a business owner cannot obtain a conventional loan, other resources may be available, including non-bank lenders. Funding Your Business will explain how nonbank lenders use Small Business Administration loans to help small business owners obtain the capital they need to start, grow or expand.
Speaker(s): Gary Moore BrightBridge Capital Community Outreach I am a Community Outreach representative for BrightBridge Capital. BrightBridge is a private, nonprofit economic development agency located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We provide financing from $50,000 to $5MM to small businesses. These loan programs include the Small Business Administration’s 504 & Community Advantage loan options. Both are great programs for start-ups, new, and even seasoned businesses to obtain financing for a variety of needs. Examples of businesses that we have funded include an antique mall, hair salon, clothing store, transmission repair shop, car washes, franchise restaurants and hotels. My work provides me with the privilege of meeting with small business owners. Having grown-up in a family business, I appreciate the many responsibilities and challenges that small business owners have to manage, so it’s especially nice to know that I represent a program that can help them be successful.
