Topic: Managing Employees

If you work with people, you will have conflict. All businesses need a robust strategy to deal with employee conflict swiftly, in a just and confident way that leads to win/win solutions while protecting and restoring relationships. A healthy work environment paves the way for employees to thrive, promoting greater productivity, customer service, and revenue. This seminar will discuss the five steps every business needs to take to develop and implement a Workplace Conflict Restoration System. The majority of our time will be spent on step four, which involves how to have difficult conversations.

Speaker(s): Merry Brown started Third Party Workplace Conflict Restoration Services out of a desire to see people and the business they work for flourish. On her route to workplace conflict restoration work, she taught philosophy for over twenty years in St. Louis, MO and Martin, TN. Her work in philosophy centered around empowering students to develop critical thinking skills and to engage in difficult conversations. Merry Brown has a B.A. from Azusa Pacific University in Philosophy and Psychology and a M.A. in Humanities with an emphasis in Philosophy from Western Kentucky University. She is a member of the International Ombuds Association, a founding member of the Institute of Organizational Dynamics, and a listed Tennessee Rule 31 Civil Mediator. Merry Brown is also a writer and speaker. Her latest book, The Food Addict: Recovering from Binge Eating Disorder & Making Peace with Food is her first work of non-fiction. She has two young adult series, featuring The Knowers and Gold Manor Ghost House.
