Speaker(s): Darlene Adkins is Lecturer of Accounting at The University of Tennessee at Martin. Prior to joining the UT Martin faculty in 2011, she spent two years teaching accounting at the first all-women’s college in Kuwait. Darlene earned her Master of Accountancy from Virginia Commonwealth University, her M.B.A. from Old Dominion University, and her B.S. in Business Administration from Radford University. Before her transition to education, Darlene worked for over 20 years in various accounting and auditing positions. In addition to public accounting experience, she has worked as a senior auditor for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. She has also worked as an accounting professional in the healthcare, non-profit, and retail industries.
