Where's the Money; Women-Owned Small Business Contracting Workshop
Federal agencies spend roughly $100 billion with small businesses on an annual basis. It was realized that that federal government contract awards to Women-Owned Small Business (WOSBs) were limited and a subsequent study listed industries in which women were underrepresented and substantially underrepresented in the award of federal contracts. To address this issue, the WOSB Contracting Rule was implemented February 4, 2011.
