Networking in the Business Community | Co-sponsored by PEAK Young Professionals

Thu 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Are you meeting the people you need to know through your company's network or your personal network? Or, do you find yourself talking with friends you already know or people who simply waste your valuable time at networking events?

For many companies networking is a key activity when looking to meet new customers, competitors, suppliers, professional experts, board members, entrepreneurial role models, future employees, as well as journalists and members of the media.

In fact, most business relationships come from network introductions.

  • Learn a framework to help you assess the strength and quality of your company's current network, so you can establish or activate the network you need.

  • Work the room like a pro, so people remember you and enjoy the conversation.

  • Reciprocate and contribute, by thinking and preparing beforehand.

  • Make a tactical retreat, by managing the interaction properly.

This event is FREE and open to the public (anyone can attend) however, pre-registration is REQUIRED. This training event will be immediately followed by a Kingsport Chamber After Hours networking event from 5:30 to 7:00 PM EDT, sponsored by PEAK Young Professionals, so attendees can use the new skills gained.

Co-Sponsor(s): Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE); Kingsport Chamber; TSBDC, East Tennessee State University; PEAK Young Professionals.
