B.O.S.S Up is a collaborative effort of Black Business Association, and MLGW Supplier Diversity & Economic Development Team. There will be 50 maximum certified minority-owned, women-owned, and locally owned small businesses that will complete an application to attend a day filled with classes, networking and building their own unique business plan with TN Small Business Development Center.

The morning sessions include seasoned business owners (current growing entrepreneurs)- sharing 3 major areas that will help your company grow:

The BOSS Brand: Marketing/Branding your business at any size (how to present your business professionally – in print, video, etc.) Offer a template for RFQ/RFP, etc. BOSS Up your Staffing: HR/Staffing tips best suited for your business BOSS Strategies for Financial Growth: Proper Finance/Accounting methods for economic stability and growth; Bonding/Insurance

The afternoon workshop will further investing in Memphis business community by assisting individuals that are interested in developing their business by providing all in-person attendees with the TN Business Development Center “Live Plan” software for their business to develop a business plan, so please bring your company laptops while in attendance.
